The Lee Motor Group in Wilson, North Carolina sought to develop an exhibit in the lobby of their flagship dealership, Lee Ford Lincoln. The exhibit traces the company’s history and roots in Wilson, North Carolina. I researched the original dealership as well as the owner and his family using the company’s archives, local newspaper archives, city directories, and an oral history interview with the founder’s son and current owner. The exhibit features a timeline of the company’s growth and development, highlights long-term employees, and spotlights its ongoing community involvement and charitable giving. This project also involved an archives component. I worked to create a finding aid for the company’s archival collection and rehomed the materials into archival boxes and folders.
